The Fondation Famille Gauthier is pleased to announce that it has joined the Young Philanthropists’ Circle of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) Foundation as a patron. Through this gift, the Foundation affirms its commitment to contemporary art and to a new generation of cultural builders.
Founded in 2012, the Young Philanthropists’ Circle brings together a community of nearly 500 young professionals with a passion for culture. Its mission is to support contemporary art at the Museum by directly contributing to exhibition programming, the promotion of contemporary artists, and the acquisition of works by emerging Canadian artists.
Over the years, the Circle has enabled the MMFA to enrich its collections and present landmark exhibitions, while introducing a new generation—eager to get involved in Montreal’s cultural scene—to the world of philanthropy. Patrons take part in signature events such as the CONTRE-JOUR and DIPTYQUE evenings, as well as the Museum’s contemporary art exhibition openings.
For the Fondation Famille Gauthier, supporting the Young Philanthropists’ Circle means investing in Montreal’s cultural vitality and in the generation that will carry it forward. Culture is not a luxury; it is a pillar of the common good, and philanthropy ensures its longevity. Supporting contemporary art today guarantees that it will continue to be created, exhibited, and passed on.
We are proud to join our voice with this community and to contribute, alongside the MMFA, to showcasing local art.
