Social impactToit à Moi
Offering a roof means offering a foundation. We support Toit à Moi because their approach is concrete, their team is rooted in the community, and their response to housing needs for vulnerable seniors is both rigorous and humane.
Cultural impactFonderie Darling
Fonderie Darling supports the making of art as much as its presentation. Housed in a former industrial building in Old Montreal, it offers exhibition spaces, creation studios and international residencies — a model that bridges the local scene and practices from elsewhere. For over twenty years, it has also turned the plaza in front of its buildings into a vibrant public space open to the neighbourhood. We chose to support them because this model is rare and deserves to endure.

our impact,
beyond giving
The capital we manage serves two purposes. The first is obvious: the returns it generates fund the projects we support. The second is less apparent: how we invest this capital is itself a decision that has real-world effects.
We seek consistency between the two. Our investment choices reflect the same values as our philanthropic choices, because all the resources we manage—whether distributed or invested—must work in the same direction.
In practice, a portion of our funds is invested with Clear Skies Investment Management, through three distinct vehicles chosen for their alignment with our focus areas:
The Fonds Action Climat amplifies efforts to mitigate and adapt to climate change. The Fonds Impacts Équilibrés is founded on the principle of equal opportunity and a fairer future. The Fonds Biodiversité targets the root causes of biodiversity loss through investments in public equities.
Our capital can also play a role beyond direct financing. We have mobilized a portion of our funds as a loan guarantee for Toit à Moi, enabling the organization to acquire condos intended to be rented to people transitioning out of homelessness. It was the presence of our capital that made the project possible—a discreet but decisive lever.
This is what we mean by amplifying our impact beyond giving: ensuring that every dollar under our management, whether distributed or invested, contributes to building a fairer future.
