Partnership with Le Chaînon to support the Annexe project.

The Fondation Famille Gauthier is proud to announce its financial contribution to the creation of L'Annexe, the new living environment developed by the support association Le Chaînon. Our donation made it possible to complete the building's fit-out—a crucial step in opening its doors to women and their children.

After 45 years of exclusively housing single women, Le Chaînon has reached a historic milestone: L'Annexe now welcomes mothers with their children. Located right next to the organization’s main facility, the building features 27 transitional housing units designed to provide a safe, stable, and welcoming environment—a stepping stone toward residential, social, and economic independence.

These units are intended for women facing difficult circumstances, such as homelessness or housing instability, domestic violence, or issues related to mental health or addiction. By expanding its services in this way, Le Chaînon addresses a critical need: providing a safe roof over one's head where, all too often, none exists.

For the Fondation Famille Gauthier, supporting L'Annexe lies at the heart of our mission: taking concrete action on the housing crisis and helping as many people as possible off the streets through the most humane and sustainable solutions available.
